Jennifer V. Liddell is the oldest grandchild of Barbara V. Brandy. As a little girl, she loved spending time with her Nana hearing stories from her childhood growing up in South Bend and trips to the St. Joseph County Public library.
Jennifer is a native of South Bend and enjoys volunteering where she can to help her community. She has almost 20 years experience working and volunteering in the non-profit sector.
For 15 years, Jennifer has been a member of the Junior League of South Bend, Inc and has held numerous board positions including the President. She has immersed herself into the nonprofit community in South Bend by participating as a volunteer and a board member for several organizations including The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Girls on the Run Michiana, Youth Advisory Council adult sponsor for Camp Fire River Bend and a co-advisor for the National Junior Honor Society with South Bend Community Schools.
As a teenager, she became involved with the National MS Society to help find a cure for those living with MS including her mother. Due to her amazing fundraising efforts as a volunteer she was offered the position of Special Events Manager. In this role, she oversaw all fundraising efforts and events for Northwest and North Central Indiana.
Professionally, Jennifer continued to expand her talents when she joined the team at United Way of St. Joseph County (UWSJC). During her 4 years there, she managed capital and workplace campaigns which contributed to securing over half of the funds for UWSJC’s 1.2 million dollar annual budget. She also planned and facilitated 6 events annually including the organizations first golf outing in 2023 which raised over $12,000.
For multiple years, she was chosen to participate as a speaker for The Mamalogues which is a performance of woman sharing real life stories they have personally written. The proceeds for the show go to benefit a local non-profit.
Jennifer attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN and completed the Nonprofit Certificate Education Program at the University of Notre Dame in 2019. Also in 2019, she was accepted into the Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka Signature Leadership Program and is a member of class 46.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark and their three children as well as reading, writing, playing board games and kayaking. She has a strong passion for cause based fundraising and helping those who need it most. Her goal is to continue where her Nana left off by ensuring that children and adults are educated on Civil Rights, have access to experience the arts and develop a love of reading.
